About The Position

Avery Dennison is seeking a dependable Coating Machine Operator to own machine setups, monitor technical processes, and drive high-quality production results. This role involves operating and troubleshooting coating machinery, ensuring product quality through testing and monitoring, collaborating with teammates to meet production goals, and prioritizing safety in the work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Comfort learning complex machine operations and investigating root causes of equipment issues.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with inventory or transactional software.
• Strong reliability, accountability, and attention to detail during long or repetitive shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience in a skilled labor role with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead machine setups, changeovers, and asset operations (including unwinds, dies, and winders).
• Monitor gauges, valves, and temperatures to ensure process specifications are met.
• Periodically test product characteristics using standard measuring tools, proactively troubleshooting equipment abnormalities.
• Partner with teammates to meet daily production goals, participate in continuous improvement (5S/ELS) processes, and enter accurate transaction records into our digital tracking systems.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and wear required PPE, serving as a safety leader on the floor.
