About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Coach Counselor for the Les Peters Academy. Les Peters Academy is a moderate risk residential commitment program for female youth aged 14 to 19. This program provides youth comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program. As a Coach Counselor, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Have one-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education
• Possess a valid Driver's License
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and TB Test.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of our Youth.
• Monitor and document behaviors.
• Monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time.
• Assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.
