About The Position

Supports the Head Coach in conducting the baseball athletic program and the overall athletic program. Assists the Head Coach in the way most beneficial to the entire program, and assumes responsibility for developing and guiding a specific team within the overall program as assigned. The Assistant Coach is expected to be loyal to the coach and team and to align with the overall program approach set by the Head Coach.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Coach in conducting the baseball program and the total athletic program.
• Assist the Head Coach in a manner that benefits the entire program.
• Develop and guide a specific team within the overall program as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Attend meetings requested by the Athletic Administrator or Head Coach.
• Cover scouting trips requested by the Head Coach.
• Assist the Head Coach with checking in all equipment at the end of the season.
• In the absence of the Head Coach and First Assistant, if any, assume the responsibilities designated for the Head Coach.
• Abide by Athletic Department policies and operating procedures.
• Perform other coaching-related duties as directed by the Head Coach, Athletic Administrator, or Principal.
