About The Position

The Spring 2027 Co-Op at TJ Dyer, Cinfab, Grote Enterprises supports project work that may vary by assignment. Responsibilities generally involve coordinating mechanical, plumbing, and subcontractor workforces; sheet metal quantity surveying, estimating, submittal review, installation quality and schedule evaluation, and system start-up and commissioning. The co-op may also contribute to project controls and coordinate with project subcontractors and material suppliers. Revit may be used in the coordination process.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
• Have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Possess auditory, speaking, and communicating capabilities.
• Meet the physical requirements of sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 pounds, seeing, and reading.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using an iPad.
• Experience with Revit may be useful in the coordination process.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical, plumbing, and subcontractor workforces.
• Perform quantity surveying and cost estimating for sheet metal work.
• Review sheet metal equipment and product submittals for content and accuracy.
• Evaluate sheet metal installations for quality and schedule progress.
• Manage start-up and commissioning of sheet metal systems.
• Provide input to project controls, including scheduling, cost reporting, and PM solutions.
• Possibly contact and coordinate with project subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Possibly use Revit in the coordination process.
