About The Position

Emera Newfoundland and Labrador is hiring for the position of Co-op Student, Woodbine for the Summer 2026 term. This position will be based at the Woodbine Converter Station and may require travel to various facility sites in Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and/or independently
  • Proven technical writing, reporting and organizational skills
  • A Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • Environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.
  • Assist in operations planning to support maintenance of Maritime Links assets, including development and execution of preventative maintenance inspections of assets such as transmission lines, High Voltage DC converter stations, switchyards, and related equipment.
  • Provide technical support to HVDC technicians and Engineers.
  • Work with technical groups to review documentation, schedules/work progress and provide document control at sites.
  • Support special projects at sites and work with contractors to accomplish tasks.
