About The Position

Our Application Services team is seeking a motivated and capable Co-Op to assist in the development, maintenance, and support of both internal and nuclear industry-facing applications. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern software development tools, participate in agile development teams, and contribute to real-world projects that serve both our internal users and clients in the nuclear power industry.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, Entity Framework, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, Angular.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio 2022/2024, Azure DevOps (ADO), Git.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Knowledge of Liferay DXP, FileNet, Kong API Gateway, Data Virtualization technologies.
  • Understanding of Agile (Scrum) methodologies and ITIL/ITSM for service management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs.
  • Perform coding, debugging, and unit testing using C#, .NET, and Angular.
  • Assist in SQL Server database development and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze and resolve application and system issues reported through our Service Desk.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to work defined by user stories.
  • Document code changes and support application lifecycle management using Azure DevOps.
