About The Position

Our Application Services team is seeking a motivated and capable Co-Op to assist in the development, maintenance, and support of both internal and nuclear industry-facing applications. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern software development tools, participate in agile development teams, and contribute to real-world projects that serve both our internal users and clients in the nuclear power industry.

Requirements

Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of object-oriented programming and web technologies.
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, Entity Framework, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, Angular.
Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio 2022/2024, Azure DevOps (ADO), Git.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Knowledge of Liferay DXP, FileNet, Kong API Gateway, Data Virtualization technologies.
Understanding of Agile (Scrum) methodologies and ITIL/ITSM for service management.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs.
Perform coding, debugging, and unit testing using C#, .NET, and Angular.
Assist in SQL Server database development and troubleshooting.
Analyze and resolve application and system issues reported through our Service Desk.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to work defined by user stories.
Document code changes and support application lifecycle management using Azure DevOps.
