About The Position

The Compliance Strategy & Framework team is seeking a motivated Co-op to help drive innovation, operational excellence, and scalable compliance solutions across Fidelity Institutional. In this role, you will gain exposure to how compliance programs are designed, governed, and optimized within a leading financial services organization. You will partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Human Resources, and business stakeholders to leverage data, streamline processes, and support strategic initiatives that strengthen the firm's governance and control environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students who enjoy analytics, process improvement, business strategy, and using technology to create meaningful business impact.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Risk Management, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and develop insights.
  • Interest in strategy, business transformation, operational excellence, compliance, risk management, or financial services.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for solving complex problems and improving processes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize information for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Interest in emerging technologies, automation, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise-wide Governance, Risk, and C ompliance (GRC) system enhancements, data management activities, and process optimization efforts, through research, analysis, and project execution.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports, metrics, and dashboards that provide insights into compliance program effectiveness and business trends, identify efficiency opportunities, and help design future-state solutions.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives by identifying efficiencies, documenting workflows, and supporting automation opportunities.
  • Contribute to strategic projects that enhance compliance frameworks, strengthen controls, and support evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Technology, Human Resources, and business partners to support cross-functional initiatives and solve complex business challenges.
  • Research regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies to support program enhancements and innovation within the compliance function.
