Co-Lead Infant Teacher
About The Position
The Co-Lead Infant Teacher provides loving, responsive care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and developmental needs are met in a warm, stimulating environment. The teacher implements the AEA curriculum and engages children in developmentally appropriate activities that foster a love of learning. The role collaborates with a supportive team to create a positive, enriching educational experience. The teacher assesses children’s growth and areas for improvement, communicates with parents, maintains developmental profiles, and holds formal parent meetings and conferences. The role also includes assisting with diaper changes and learning Amazing Explorers Academy policies, procedures, and expectations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education, or 45 hours of training.
- Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility.
- Pleasant, friendly demeanor and outgoing personality.
- Highly professional and dependable.
Responsibilities
- Maintain classroom appearance, cleanliness, and safety.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including daily notes, accident reports, and attendance.
- Attend staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings.
- Supervise and assist children during activities.
- Provide counseling for social, academic, or adjustment issues.
- Plan and implement lesson plans, programs, and schedules.
- Prepare instructional aids and materials.
- Assist with meal times and cleanup.
- Ensure equipment is in good condition and used properly.
- Arrange the classroom to create well-defined interest areas.
- Keep the classroom organized and clean.
- Communicate with parents and maintain children’s developmental profiles.
- Schedule and conduct parent/teacher conferences.
- Manage classroom bulletin boards and the family information board.
- Assist with diaper changes.
- Perform assigned duties.
- Conduct assessments of children to indicate growth and areas for improvement.
- Learn and follow Amazing Explorers Academy policies, procedures, and expectations.
