About The Position
The Lead Infant Teacher creates a safe, loving, and nurturing classroom environment for infants and supports their early development through age-appropriate activities. The role follows each child’s feeding, diapering, and nap routines, including safe sleep practices; tracks developmental milestones; and communicates with families about their child’s day. The teacher leads the classroom, supports fellow teachers, maintains a clean and organized space, and follows childcare licensing and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Previous infant childcare experience.
- Knowledge of infant development and safe sleep practices.
- A patient, nurturing personality and a genuine love for babies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification and applicable Florida childcare credentials, or willingness to obtain them as required.
Nice To Haves
- Lead teacher experience is preferred.
