About The Position

Advance CNC Machining is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss & Mill Turn Setup Machinist for its aerospace and defense machine shop in Grove City, Ohio. The machinist will set up complex CNC machining jobs and ensure they are ready to produce accurate, repeatable, quality parts. The role requires taking ownership of jobs from setup through production and supporting operators during production runs. The position offers $40 per hour, depending on experience, a $7,500 sign-on bonus paid in three installments, and relocation assistance. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check is a condition of employment.

Requirements

• Experience as a CNC Swiss and Mill Turn setup machinist.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and CMM data, including GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming.
• Knowledge of CNC machines.
• Successful pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC Swiss and Mill Turn machines for production.
• Create first-article parts for verification.
• Support CNC operators during production runs.
• Take ownership of jobs from setup through production to help ensure accurate, repeatable parts.
