About The Position

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity for a Temp CNC Machinist in Ashville, NY. The role involves all aspects of CNC Mill and Lathe operations, including setup, operation, and basic programming at the machine. The ideal candidate will understand feeds and speeds for various materials and be able to work within close tolerances of +/-.0002. This position also involves identifying opportunities for product improvement and cost reduction.

Requirements

• 1 or more years in a machining or similar environment.
• Mechanical Aptitude.
• Use of measuring devices such as Micrometers, Vernier's.
• Dedicated and attention to detail.
• Time management.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of operations CNC Mill and Lathe.
• Setup and operation of CNC Mills.
• Programming basic work at machine.
• Understanding feeds and speeds required to cut various materials.
• Working in close tolerances +/-.0002.
• Identifying opportunities to improve products or reduce cost.
