CNC Operators (Second Shift)

About The Position

MGI is hiring CNC Operators for its second-shift aerospace manufacturing team. Operators produce precision-machined metal components to industry standards in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. The position involves operating CNC milling and/or lathe machines, handling materials, inspecting parts, keeping production and quality records, and performing basic machine setup and maintenance. Candidates must meet ITAR requirements and be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.

Requirements

Basic experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
Ability to read and follow blueprints, travelers, and work instructions.
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and clear communication in English.
Good eyesight, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills.
Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR, including a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), or certain protected individual.

Solid understanding of machining operations and shop math.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC milling and/or lathe machines to manufacture metal parts.
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Produce parts to required specifications and tight tolerances.
Perform in-process inspections using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Perform basic machine maintenance and setup tasks.
Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe, including using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
