About The Position

Skillforce is hiring experienced CNC Operators for a 6-week manufacturing project in Apple Creek, Ohio. Operators will set up and operate CNC machinery, interpret blueprints and work instructions, and produce accurate, high-quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position pays $25–$35 per hour, with per diem and travel support available for qualified travelers. The schedule is 40 or more hours per week, with first, second, and third shifts available.

Requirements

Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and dimensional specifications.
Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
Knowledge of machine setup, tooling, and basic machine adjustments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
Ability to identify production issues and troubleshoot basic machine problems.
Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machinery according to production requirements and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Load materials, secure workpieces, and select appropriate tooling as needed.
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain production quality and accuracy.
Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
Verify dimensions, tolerances, and finished-product quality.
Perform routine machine checks and identify potential equipment or production issues.
Maintain accurate production records and follow established quality control procedures.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
