The CNC Machinist creates prototype machined parts on CNC milling machines and develops computer programs for CNC machines using Mastercam. The role includes setting up machines to run multiple parts as needed, preparing CAM files from CAD files, prints, and verbal instructions, and producing accurate parts to tight manufacturing requirements with quick turnaround. The position supports timely production and delivery by inspecting parts, maintaining machines and shop equipment, organizing jobs and inventory, and following departmental quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures. The machinist also completes operator preventive maintenance, helps identify solutions to recurring production problems, and escalates issues to the shift team lead or supervisor as appropriate. The work is performed indoors, primarily in a manufacturing area around machinery and noise, with required eye protection and safety shoes. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
