About The Position

Advance CNC Machining is hiring a CNC Operator for its off-shift team in Grove City, Ohio. The company produces high-precision machined parts for equipment manufacturers and customers in the food, pharmaceutical, aerospace, and defense industries. The role is suited to a dependable, focused, and accountable operator who follows processes, pays attention to detail, works independently, and takes pride in producing quality work.

The operator runs CNC machines and ensures parts meet quality standards. The posting lists second-shift hours of Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM, and weekend-shift hours of Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. Pay is up to $25 per hour, depending on experience, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus paid in two installments: $1,250 at 90 days and $1,250 at six months. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check is a condition of employment.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T.
• Experience with precision measurement tools.

Nice To Haves

• CNC machining, machine operation, mechanical, maintenance, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with 4- and 5-axis Makino machines and Swiss and Mill Turn machines is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Makino 4- and 5-axis CNC machining centers and Swiss and Mill Turn machines, many with automation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, tolerances, and CMM reports.
• Load materials, change tools, and make offsets.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Complete production and inspection documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
