About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a CNC Operator near Denver, Colorado. The role involves setting up, calibrating, and operating CNC mill and lathe machines to complete tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling. The operator reads blueprints and mechanical drawings, translates instructions into machine commands, supervises machine operation, makes adjustments as needed, and inspects finished products against requirements. The position offers weekly pay of $19.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience, with an interview required.

Requirements

• CNC operator experience with Haas machines.
• GED or high school diploma.
• Proven CNC operator experience or education.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Computer proficiency, with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Run mill and lathe machines.
• Set up and calibrate equipment and accessories for projects.
• Prepare and operate CNC machines for tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand job specifications and desired results.
• Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
• Monitor machines during operation and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect and measure finished products to determine whether requirements have been met.
