Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is looking to add a talented CNC Operator to our team! Responsible to safely and efficiently produce machined parts by means of programming, using Mastercam, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. An Operator’s core objective is to ensure CNC machines are properly utilized though optimizing programs and daily production runs using the approved design and engineering.

Requirements

Must have completed training and programming on CNC machine.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Computer Aided Design with an emphasis in Model Based Definition Drawings.
Advanced mathematics, problem-solving, and computer skills and the ability to know how and when to use them.
Willing to complete on the job training (OJT) in accordance with FCC Repair Station Manual.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally when required.

Nice To Haves

Education and experience through vocational school, technical college or apprenticeships (5 to 7+ years) is preferred.
Working knowledge of an MRP (Material Resources Planning) system strongly preferred, Corridor software a plus.
Key competencies related to working with a diverse group of individuals and departments are desirable.
Frequent need to give concentrated attention, with one or two senses at a time, where stimuli are changing.
Occasional direct and indirect pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.

Responsibilities

Plan machines by carefully studying work orders, drawings and other technical data.
Feed mechanism to be loaded by lifting stock into position.
Verify the settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to standards.
Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Adhere to safety procedures and regulations by maintaining safe operations.
Complete preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs to maintain the equipment properly to avoid unwanted and alarming situations.
Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
Proactively participate in educational opportunities; read technical publications to update job knowledge on an ongoing basis to stay updated.
Accept ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment to accomplish organizational goals.
