About The Position

Cadrex is seeking CNC Operators at Levels I, II, and III to support manufacturing operations through the setup, operation, monitoring, and optimization of manual and CNC machinery. CNC Operators are responsible for producing high-quality components that meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and production goals. The complexity of machine operation, setup, troubleshooting, and programming responsibilities increases with each level based on demonstrated skill, experience, and technical proficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Basic understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes (Level I)
Mechanical aptitude and interest in CNC machining (Level I)
Ability to use basic measuring tools and inspection equipment (Level I)
Basic computer skills (Level I)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality (Level I)
Effective communication and teamwork skills (Level I)

2+ years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience (Level II)
Experience with machine setup, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments (Level II)
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and CNC machine operation (Level II)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions (Level II)
Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment (Level II)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills (Level II)
Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives (Level II)
Commitment to quality, productivity, and safety (Level II)
4+ years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience (Level III)
Advanced knowledge of CNC machine operation, setup, and programming (Level III)
Proficiency with G-code programming and CAM software (Level III)
Extensive experience troubleshooting machining, tooling, and programming issues (Level III)
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and process optimization (Level III)
Demonstrated ability to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality performance (Level III)
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills (Level III)
Strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement (Level III)
Technical training, machining certification, or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

Operate CNC and manual machines to produce components and assemblies according to specifications
Position and secure materials and parts using appropriate fixtures, clamps, and fastening devices
Operate hand-held, electrical, and pneumatic tools as required
Use precision measuring instruments to verify product quality and dimensional accuracy
Identify material types and ensure proper machine settings are utilized
Recognize worn tooling and perform tooling changes as required
Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify product conformance
Report defective materials, process issues, machine malfunctions, or nonconforming products to supervision
Complete production documentation, inspection records, and related paperwork accurately and timely
Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
Operate material handling and lift equipment as required
Operate manual equipment such as saws, mills, and lathes under supervision (Level I)
Assist with basic CNC machine operation and loading/unloading of parts (Level I)
Learn machine functions, tooling applications, and production processes (Level I)
Perform basic inspections using measuring tools and gauges (Level I)
Make adjustments to machine operations as directed by supervisors or experienced operators (Level I)
Support production requirements while developing machining knowledge and skills (Level I)
Independently operate CNC equipment to manufacture production parts and assemblies (Level II)
Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments with minimal supervision (Level II)
Troubleshoot routine machine and process issues to maintain production flow (Level II)
Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to improve efficiency and quality (Level II)
Support continuous improvement efforts and assist in training less experienced operators when needed (Level II)
Set up and prepare advanced CNC equipment, including tooling selection, fixture setup, and production optimization (Level III)
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs using G-code and CAM software (Level III)
Perform advanced machine setups and complex machining operations (Level III)
Monitor machine performance and implement adjustments to maximize efficiency, quality, and throughput (Level III)
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues to minimize downtime (Level III)
Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cycle times and enhance productivity (Level III)
Maintain detailed machine setup, production, and quality records (Level III)
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to Level I and Level II operators (Level III)
Assist with training, process development, and operational best practices across the department (Level III)
