About The Position

Our client in Tonawanda, NY, is seeking a 1st & 2nd Shift CNC Machinist to join their team! This is an on-site/ full-time/ direct-hire position. Salary $25-$35/hr based on experience. Our client's CNC Machinists specialize in setting up and operating CNC or NC machines and machining centers. Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Knowledge of various measuring tools, like micrometers and bore gauges.
• Familiarity with milling machines and tooling.
• Strong ability to fabricate parts with precision.
• Proficient in basic math calculations
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Studies drawings and specifications to determine the dimensions and tolerances of the finished workpiece.
• Follows a job router to determine the sequence of operations and set-up requirements.
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.
• Calculates and programs controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow depth and angle of cut or enters commands to retrieve, edit, or input existing programs.
• Analyze and resolve any set-up non-conformance.
• Show a willingness to work through their attendance, and maintain an overall positive attitude.
• Adhere to the company's policies and procedures.
• Look for improvements regarding all aspects of Manufacturing.
