About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a CNC Operator near Denver, Colorado. The role involves setting up and operating CNC equipment, including mill and lathe machines, to complete machining tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling. The operator reads blueprints and mechanical drawings, translates job instructions into machine commands, monitors operations, makes adjustments, and inspects finished products to ensure they meet requirements. The position is a day shift, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Pay is $19.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE), and is paid weekly.

Requirements

CNC operator experience with Haas machines.
GED or high school diploma.
Proven CNC operator experience or education.
Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
Computer skills, including a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Run mill and lathe machines.
Set up and calibrate equipment and accessories for projects.
Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand job specifications and desired results.
Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
Monitor machines during operation and make adjustments as needed.
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements.
