About The Position

This position uses the router to cut holes into the sections. The role involves reading and interpreting work orders/blueprints, checking inventory, inserting parts into the routing machine, unpacking sections, and checking them for quality and size. The operator will use a motorized router to cut holes for glass inserts and remove metal cutouts, then place the routed section on a cart for assembly. Maintaining a clean and safe working area is also essential.

Requirements

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and more than 50 lbs using a team-lift
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 6 months of transferable experience

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders/blueprints
• Check inventory and locate needed section
• Inserts parts into routing machine
• Unpack the sections
• Check sections for quality and size
• Using the motorized router, cut holes for the glass inserts.
• Remove the metal cut outs
• Place routed out section on a cart for the Glazier to assemble
• Maintain a clean and safe working area
