About The Position

Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 2nd Shift CNC Setup Trainee to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 301. This position has a starting hourly wage of $24.57/hr. + 3.5% shift differential. This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The first half ($1,000) is payable after successful completion of the orientation period and the second half ($1,000) is payable after one year of employment. The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturday as well. All offers of employment made by Milwaukee Valve are contingent upon successfully completing our required drug screen and physical capabilities tests. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum six months related experience and/or training

Responsibilities

Perform tasks related to machine set up such as removal and installation of tools, tool setting, tool offsets and program movements.
Read, follow and comprehend work instructions and blueprints.
Load and unload parts.
Change inserts / tooling.
Adjust wear offsets.
Measure parts.
Run jobs within quality and efficiency expectations.
Maintain coolant level.
Maintain lubrication oil.
Grease fixtures.
Wash down inside of machine.
Clean work area.
Complete production documentation.
Perform tool testing and document results.
Remove and install tools and fixtures.
Perform tool setting and tool offsets.
Transfer machine programs to and from machine control.
Follow program movements.
Determine and establish work offsets.
Obtain first article.
Create general work holding (i.e., soft jaws).
Perform machine set up with assistance.
Select tooling.
Make minor edits of programs.
Indicate in jaws, fixtures, tooling, etc.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
Identify that surface finishes are met.
Measure parts correctly and ensure specifications are met.
Visually inspect parts to specified standards.
Meet productivity standards.
Complete work in allotted time.
Strive to increase productivity.
Properly use measuring instruments such as caliper, micrometer, machinist scale, functional gages, height stand.
Read blueprint dimensioning.
Interpret blueprint information.
Apply tolerances as defined.
Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Use standard PC and MS software.
Use current ERP System.
Use current databases.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
