Sr CNC Operator II, Second Shift
About The Position
Relativity Space is hiring a CNC Operator II for its Stage Manufacturing team, which builds Terran R’s primary structures. The team collaborates across engineering and technician roles to develop and improve the processes and systems used to manufacture the rocket. The operator runs 3-axis CNC routers, plate mills, and roll-forming equipment; performs standard lift operations or assists with critical lift operations; and carries out precision blending and deburring with power or hand tools. The role also performs in-process inspections with measurement tools and maintains high standards for safety and shop cleanliness while fostering an inclusive team environment. This is a second-shift role scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT. The schedule is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week, and includes a 10% shift differential. The hiring range is $37.88–$56.83 USD.
Requirements
- Experience with metal fabrication techniques, such as bending and rolling.
- At least 5 years of aerospace mechanical experience or experience in a related field.
- Experience with machining equipment, such as mills and lathes.
- Proficiency with common hand tools and inspection tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or team communication tools such as Slack or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with rigging and crane operations.
- Experience with welding operations.
- Experience with CNC, robotics, and/or machine programming.
- Experience reading drawings and/or GD&T.
Responsibilities
