CNC Operator II, Second Shift

About The Position

Relativity Space is hiring a CNC Operator II for its Stage Manufacturing team, which builds Terran R’s primary structures and develops the processes used to manufacture the rocket. This is a second-shift position with a standard Monday–Friday schedule from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week, and includes a 10% shift differential in addition to base pay. The CNC Operator II runs CNC and other manufacturing equipment, supports lift operations, performs precision finishing and in-process inspections, and helps uphold safety and shop-cleanliness standards. Employees collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve manufacturing processes as the vehicle and factory evolve.

Requirements

Experience with metal fabrication techniques, such as bending and rolling.
At least 3 years of aerospace mechanical experience or experience in a related field.
Experience with machining equipment, such as mills and lathes.
Proficiency using common hand tools and inspection tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or team communication tools such as Slack or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Experience with rigging and crane operations.
Experience with welding operations.
Experience with CNC, robotics, and/or machine programming.
Experience reading drawings and/or GD&T.

Responsibilities

Run 3-axis CNC routers, plate mills, and roll-forming equipment.
Complete standard lift operations or assist in critical lift operations.
Perform precision blending and deburring using standard power tools or hand tools.
Conduct in-process inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges.
Uphold Relativity Space standards for safety and shop cleanliness.
Foster an inclusive environment for all team members.
