About The Position
Relativity Space is hiring a CNC Operator II for its Stage Manufacturing team, which builds the primary structures for the Terran R launch vehicle. This second-shift role operates CNC and other manufacturing equipment and supports production of rocket structures. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT, structured around a 50-hour workweek with 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week. Employees also receive a 10% shift differential.
Requirements
- Experience with metal fabrication techniques, such as bending and rolling.
- At least 3 years of aerospace mechanical experience or experience in a related field.
- Experience with machining equipment, such as mills and lathes.
- Proficiency with common hand tools and inspection tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or team communication tools such as Slack or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with rigging and crane operations.
- Experience with welding operations.
- Experience with CNC, robotics, and/or machine programming.
- Experience reading drawings and/or GD&T.
Responsibilities
- Run 3-axis CNC routers, plate mills, and roll-forming equipment.
- Complete standard lift operations or assist with critical lift operations.
- Perform precision blending and deburring using standard power tools or hand tools.
- Perform in-process inspections using hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges.
- Uphold Relativity Space standards for safety and shop cleanliness.
