About The Position

Avalign Integrated Medical Solutions is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist to work in Mentor, Ohio, on a 3rd shift schedule. The role operates conventional, special-purpose, and CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate parts according to customer specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• One year of relevant experience operating a CNC machine.
• Understanding of the 3 Pan System.
• Ability to log in to and use Epicor.
• Full understanding of the machine matrix.
• Understanding and use of setup sheets.
• Understanding of the line clearance process.
• Basic blueprint-reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform daily machine preventative maintenance activities.
• Accurately and consistently document tasks on appropriate records, including First Piece Inspection logs, work orders, and maintenance logs.
• Review documents for sign-off of previously completed operations and verify part counts before beginning manufacturing operations.
• Follow established protocols to maintain product and documentation identification and traceability.
• Independently operate assigned CNC machines.
• Train on tool changes, settings, changeovers, and size changes.
• Frequently use handheld measuring equipment, such as calipers and micrometers, to inspect machined parts.
• Perform offsets on machine tooling.
