About The Position

This role involves setting up and operating CNC machines to produce tools and dies. The machinist will retrieve and load CNC programs, operate other machine tools, and perform various setup and finishing tasks. Responsibilities also include machine maintenance, using material handling equipment, and reading technical drawings. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is also required.

Requirements

High school or equivalent (Required)
Tool Maker 3 years (Required)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to lift heavy weights, bend, stoop and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and noise level

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Master CAM
Apprentice certification or Journeyman license (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Setup, Load, operate CNC machines to produce tools/dies
Retrieve CNC programs and load to the machine
Operate other machine tools like lathes, grinders, drills, and mills
Setup die blocks on machine beds
Setup cutters in holders and adjust height and length
Use various hand tools to finish parts and check
Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met
Sharpen cutting tools
Operator maintenance tasks like oiling, greasing, and cleaning the machine (5S)
Use forklift or crane to store and retrieve tools/die assemblies
Read drawings/prints to identify operations, specifications, and tolerances
