About The Position

The CNC Lathe Machinist sets up, operates, and maintains CNC Lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. The role requires strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while ensuring quality and efficiency. The position is on the third shift, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., including a 20-minute paid lunch.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including a minimum of 2 years of CNC Lathe experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints.
• Experience working with small precision parts to close tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines according to job specifications.
• Load raw materials and verify tooling alignment and offsets.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Make necessary program edits and adjustments to maintain tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements.
• Perform preventative machine maintenance as required.
• Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Work closely with engineers and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
