About The Position
The CNC Lathe Machinist sets up, operates, and maintains CNC Lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. The role requires attention to detail and technical expertise while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and ensuring quality and efficiency. This position works the third shift, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, with a 20-minute paid lunch included.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including a minimum of two years of CNC Lathe experience.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints.
- Experience working with small precision parts to close tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines according to job specifications.
- Load raw materials and verify tooling alignment and offsets.
- Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Make program edits and adjustments to maintain tolerances.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements.
- Perform preventative machine maintenance as required.
- Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Work with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
