A CNC machinist at Donson may work in machining departments with 3-axis mills, 5-axis mills, horizontal mills, dual-spindle lathes with live tooling, and 5-axis machine centers with a mill head and turning turret. The machinist receives a machine, program, and preset cart of supplies, then uses these tools to set up the machine and run production while inspecting parts to ensure critical dimensions are consistently maintained. Machinists are expected to progress and meet predetermined efficiency standards for each specific part. The role involves a fast-paced environment and a high mix of medical parts. Donson Machine is a family-owned medical device manufacturer focused on providing employees with a safe place to work and opportunities to build technical and personal skills. Second-shift machinists receive a 10% night-shift premium and work Monday through Thursday, with a three-day weekend and the opportunity for overtime.
