CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

About The Position
The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating an HNK Mill. The role focuses on maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with a 15% second-shift differential. The successful candidate must be able to train on first shift for 2–4 weeks.
Requirements
- Ideally, 5 or more years of experience with milling machines or horizontal boring mills.
- 5 or more years of experience with machine setup, creating fixtures, and starting up one's own machine in a job shop environment.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of metals and the quality, machinability, and uses of metals, alloys, and other materials.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to prioritize and review work.
- Ability to safely and effectively operate a variety of assigned tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and work orders.
- Ability to maintain routine records.
- Ability to move or transfer products with a hoist or overhead crane.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work independently without daily supervision.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to train on first shift for 2–4 weeks.
