About The Position

EMC Precision is seeking an experienced team member to support its precision-machining operations. The role is responsible for manufacturing precision components on CNC lathe machines, including Swiss-style lathe operation. The company produces complex parts in low- to mid-volume quantities.

The position includes training in the production process and opportunities for cross-training. The employee is also responsible for maintaining a clean work area using 5S methods and for daily equipment upkeep and maintenance.

Requirements

• CNC machine experience.
• Lathe experience with live tooling (Y axis) and a sub-spindle.
• Fluency in shop math.
• At least one year of shop experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Solid work history.
• Ability to frequently push, pull, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, stand, see generally and close up, hear, speak, coordinate motor movements, and use eye, hand, and foot coordination and the hands, wrists, arms, and fingers in any direction.
• Ability to occasionally kneel, stoop, bend, grip, and climb flights of stairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision components.

• Mentor or train others, as applicable.
