CNC Machinist
About The Position
The CNC Machinist works in the CNC department under the supervision of CNC Programmers, carrying out jobs on a range of CNC machines and equipment, including 3- and 5-axis machines, a HAAS UMC1000 5 Axis Mill, and a HAAS ST45L Lathe. The role sets up and operates CNC machines, assists with machine maintenance, and contributes to projects that meet client expectations. This is a full-time hourly position scheduled Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Longer hours and weekend work may be required during peak periods. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and be citizens of the United States.

Responsibilities
- Safely set up and operate multiple CNC machines with minimal assistance.
- Operate all CNC machines and, when needed, operate more than one machine simultaneously.
- Read and adhere to written processes.
- Review daily work instructions, sketches, drawings, blueprints, and manuals to determine dimensions and tolerances accurately.
- Inspect products visually and with hand inspection equipment, including microscopes, vernier calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, and a profilometer.
- Inspect and change cutting tools and make tooling offsets on CNC equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Adhere to and implement the quality management system in accordance with ISO Quality standards.
- Assist with maintenance of CNC machines.
