About The Position

Responsible for setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines and programs to make specified high quality manufactured parts according to customer specifications.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 3+ years in a machine shop
• 2+ Years programming tool paths
• Advanced proficiency in G and M code
• Advanced proficiency with inspection tools
• Previous experience working with large Okuma and Megabore machines
• Ability to work in Vernal, UT on a daily basis
• Programming experience, any language
• Advanced proficiency with computers
• Highly organized
• Very detail oriented
• Self-motivated, responsible, and disciplined

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Program tool paths using CAD/CAM software.
• Operate CNC Machines as directed.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required.
• Inspect, measure, and gauge completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Debur and clean finished product/tools.
