About The Position

Howmet Aerospace in Winsted is seeking skilled machinists to join their team. This role involves setting up and operating CNC grinding and milling equipment to machine high-precision aerospace components to demanding tolerances. The position requires reading blueprints, using precision measuring equipment, and making tooling/offset adjustments. Collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Tool Room teams is expected to improve processes, while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and teamwork.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED
3-5 years of related experience.
Experience with CNC machining, grinding, milling, or multi-axis equipment.
Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills.
A positive attitude, dependable attendance, and desire to learn.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a team first mindset.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

Aerospace experience preferred but not required for strong machinists.
