CNC Machinist
About The Position
This role involves operating CNC lathes to meet daily production and quality requirements, adhering to company quality control standards, and ensuring safe work practices. The machinist will monitor the machining of metal parts to print specifications, adjust programs, perform offsets, and conduct in-process inspections. Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- At least five years of current CNC lathe setup experience.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, setup machines, edit offsets within programs, and perform tool offset adjustments as required to machine specialty bearings.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering prints.
- Ability to make decisions, communicate effectively, and work well with others in a team environment.
- Must be a quick learner.
- Ability to give, receive, and follow written and verbal instructions in English and communicate job related information to others.
- Must be either a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident ('green card' holder) or have refugee or asylee status due to ITAR and EAR regulations.

- Formal CNC training experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to meet daily production and quality requirements.
- Follow company quality control standards, including in-process inspection and documentation.
- Model safe behaviors.
- Monitor the machining of metal parts to print specifications.
- Adjust programs and perform offsets.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.
- Inspect dimensions of machined parts, including threads, inner diameters, outer diameters, lengths, widths, and undercuts/grooves.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Benefits
- The salary range for this position is $30 to $35 per hour, applicable for California.
