With cutting-edge new machines arriving NOW, a state-of-the-art climate-controlled workshop, and a steady backlog of exciting projects, MYER offers the perfect environment for skilled machinists to thrive and grow! šŸ’¼ What You'll Do As a CNC Machinist, you'll be the craftsperson behind precision manufacturing, transforming raw materials into functional masterpieces using state-of-the-art machinery, detailed blueprints, and advanced CNC programs. šŸŽÆ Your Key Responsibilities Master the Process: Receive work instructions from our Machining Director and develop strategic operational plans Setup Excellence: Configure machinery and materials for peak efficiency and safety Precision Execution: Execute complex machining operations to achieve exact dimensional and finish requirements Quality Champion: Continuously monitor and ensure your work exceeds quality standards Equipment Care: Perform daily inspections and maintenance to keep our machines running perfectly Safety Leader: Maintain exceptional safety standards and workspace organization Team Player: Collaborate on additional projects and maintain perfect attendance

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of verified CNC Machinist experience
  • Exceptional blueprint reading skills, especially machining symbols
  • Deep understanding of subtractive manufacturing processes
  • Expert operation of Horizontal and Vertical CNC Mills and Lathes
  • G-code experience
  • Advanced knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, and accessories
  • Proficient with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and verification equipment
  • OSHA knowledge and commitment to safe practices
  • Strong analytical skills and creative thinking
  • Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments
  • Clear sight for precision work and good hearing for safety communications
  • Confident operation of lathes, grinders, mills, and similar machinery
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs, work at heights up to 15 feet, and navigate production areas
  • Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, and working in confined spaces as needed
  • Only applicants with current work authorization will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Vocational training or hands-on experience with machining tools and techniques preferred
  • GibbsCAM proficiency is a huge advantage!
  • Metal fabrication familiarity; welding skills are a major bonus!
  • Oxygen/Propane heating experience
