About The Position

The CNC Machinist will independently set up multi-axis CNC milling machines to produce complex, tight-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, and semiconductor applications. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and 3D CAD models; selecting tooling and workholding; and performing 3-axis, 3+2, and 5-axis milling setups. The machinist will inspect parts, adjust machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and document procedures to support consistent production. The position also involves collaborating with CNC programmers, manufacturing engineers, and quality personnel, and supporting less-experienced machinists and operators when needed. This role is based in a clean, climate-controlled, 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Oxford, Connecticut. The second-shift schedule is Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with Fridays off. Overtime opportunities are available. The company describes opportunities for continued learning and advancement into more technical or leadership-oriented positions.
