Requirements

High school diploma with solid mathematical aptitude.
Driven to achieve with a commitment to quality and a safety-first mindset.
2-5+ years of CNC machining experience
Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software.
Experience holding tight tolerances
Collaborative team player who can take initiative, independently troubleshoot and problem-solve
Takes accountability and able to operate both flexibly and independently as required
Organized, conscientious and focused
Must have the legal right to work in the US
Must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.

Nice To Haves

Capability to operate ultra-precision or diamond turning equipment a plus.
Experience creating procedures or training others a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and run precision CNC machines for turning, boring, facing, and threading
Program, edit, and optimize CNC code (G-code / CAM)
Mount and secure components in fixtures or optical cells
Align parts to the optical axis using metrology tools
Machine critical features to micron-level tolerances
Measure and verify centration, runout, and other features
Analyze measurement data and adjust setups/processes
Troubleshoot machining, alignment, and fixturing issues
Develop and document setups, processes, and procedures
Perform routine maintenance and maintain organized work area
