About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a temp-to-hire position on the 2nd shift. The role involves operating CNC machines, ensuring product specifications are met, and performing routine maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience with various CNC controls and a strong understanding of machining processes. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Requirements

1-2 years CNC experience
Basic math skills
Must pass background and drug screen
Must have steel toes, metatarsal guards, and safety glasses

Nice To Haves

Experience with Fanuc 18i control, Okuma, OSP, and Mazak

Responsibilities

Reads blueprints or job orders for product and job specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, number of parts to be run, tooling instructions, or other written specifications.
Sets up machine, observes operation, and inspects first run and sample work pieces to ensure machining conforms to specifications.
Determines processing specifications such as materials, location of cutting lines, dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences.
Examines finished work pieces and verifies conformance to quality standards.
Marks identification material before or after processing, stores material for additional processing, and/or shipping.
Accurately completes work order paperwork/documentation.
Performs routine and preventative machine maintenance and inspections as required.
Assists other machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
Performs program editing (speed, feed tools, etc.).
