About The Position

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced CNC Machinists for projects located in the Auburn, WA area. This is a third shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $36-39/hour based on experience and skill level. Requirements

  • Strong CNC machining background with experience operating mills and lathes
  • Experience with horizontal and/or vertical machining centers
  • Ability to write, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs
  • Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills
  • Ability to perform accurate dimensional inspections
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Previous aerospace manufacturing experience required
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Familiarity with ITAR requirements and controlled work environments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multi-pallet or production machining is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mills and lathes in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Set up and run CNC machining equipment for production work
  • Write, edit, and modify CNC programs as needed
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and dimensional issues
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and machining specifications
  • Inspect raw materials and verify material identification and requirements
  • Perform in-process and final quality inspections using appropriate measuring equipment
  • Work with horizontal and vertical machining centers
  • Support multi-pallet and repeat-production machining operations
  • Set and maintain tool offsets, work offsets, and machine parameters
  • Utilize probing systems and G10 offsets where applicable
  • Follow setup sheets, standardized tooling requirements, dedicated fixtures, and approved tool packages
  • Identify opportunities to improve machining processes while maintaining quality and repeatability
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation
  • Follow all company safety, quality, security, and controlled-work-environment requirements
