About The Position

The CNC Machinist operates CNC milling, turning, and grinding centers and may also operate manual machinery to perform routine or repetitive machining operations. This role produces and modifies components in accordance with engineering drawings, instructions, customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards. The Machinist sets up equipment, completes assigned jobs according to established due dates, and reports progress through the current scheduling system. Success in this role requires machining expertise, accuracy, and a working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Requirements

  • Two-year Machine Tool diploma or degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to set up CNC lathes and mills.
  • Ability to set up manual lathes, grinders, and mills for manual machining operations.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to use a computerized scheduling system to manage assigned work and report progress.

  • Fabricate new components according to engineering drawings.
  • Modify components according to drawings or engineering instructions.
  • Perform work in accordance with customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards.
  • Complete assigned jobs according to due dates provided through the scheduling system.
  • Report job status and progress using the current scheduling system.
