CNC Machinist
About The Position
Omega Tool Corp is the global leader in the engineering and manufacturing of plastics tooling, offering solutions for complex tooling and plastic part challenges to world-class OEM and Tier 1 clients for over 40 years. As the company continues to expand its footprint, it is recruiting top talent to join its team. The Machinist is responsible for crafting quality precision metal parts according to their CAD designs using CAM software required by the machine. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, employee handbook guidelines, health and safety policies and ISO quality program and procedures.
Requirements
- Completion of secondary school and a four-year apprenticeship or college diploma in a manufacturing field or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience with 5-axis machining of mechanisms (lifters, slides, and inserts)
- Knowledge of arithmetic, geometry and their applications
- 3D and 2D machining knowledge
- Capable of recognizing and solving problems
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to adapt and welcome change in a positive manner
- Capable of operating heavy equipment such as a forklift and crane
Nice To Haves
- Efficient knowledge of Tebis is preferred
- General background in mold making an asset
