About The Position

The Grinding Specialist at Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating a range of semi-complex to complex CNC grinding equipment used in the manufacturing of round tools, in accordance with blueprints, engineering specifications, and standard operating procedures. This role includes the setup and operation of equipment such as centerless grinders, cylindrical grinders, cut-off machines, CNC tool grinders, measuring instruments, and other related manufacturing equipment.   • 2-3 Years’ Experience Working with CNC Machines in a Mechanical or Process Industry

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter quality, SPC, production, and other required data into designated company information systems.
  • Perform routine and primary maintenance on assigned equipment; assist the maintenance team with major repairs as required.
  • Develop, edit, and optimize programs for NC/CNC‑controlled grinding equipment.
  • Perform all phases of assigned operations in full compliance with company policies and all applicable state and federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper housekeeping standards in all assigned work areas always.
  • Achieve established cycle time, productivity, and machine utilization targets.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Ensure compliance with the ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
