About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a CNC Machinist for a temporary assignment in East Moline, Illinois. The role operates CNC lathes, CNC mills, and manual lathes to produce machined parts in a light-industrial manufacturing environment. Work involves setting up machines, loading materials, monitoring production, inspecting finished parts, and making adjustments as needed. Accuracy, safety, consistency, attention to detail, and following work instructions are important. The posted compensation is $22.00 per hour. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on first shift, and the anticipated start date is ASAP. Ascend Staffing provides weekly pay, direct deposit and debit card payment options, and health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance. Requirements

Experience working in a machinist setting.
Experience operating manual lathes.
Experience operating CNC lathes and CNC mills.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, job orders, and basic machining specifications.
Ability to use precision measuring tools to check part quality.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
Must be legally able to work in the United States.
May be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of experience as a CNC machinist.
Stable work history, including a previous role lasting longer than 2 years.
Current resume highlighting CNC machining experience.
Experience making minor machine offsets or adjustments.
Experience reading blueprints or machining drawings.
