About The Position

MSI Mold Builders in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking to hire a full-time CNC Machinist for 2nd shift to perform levels one, two, and three machining work. Requirements

2-year CNC program certificate or diploma OR equivalent experience
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Analytical thinker and a great problem solver
Efficient time management skills
Team player
Ability to follow directions
Ability to work well under supervision and accept assistance with machine setup

Responsibilities

Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines to create a variety of molds.
Perform milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, and inspection.
Monitor for any problems such as bottlenecks, defects in materials, or other inefficiencies and proactively find solutions.
Monitor tool inventory.
Perform inspections for quality assurance.
Take care of regular preventative maintenance.
Participate in the tooling selection for new techniques.
Help implement new procedures, equipment, and tooling.
