About The Position

Advance CNC Machining is seeking experienced CNC Machinists for their 2nd Shift (Monday-Thursday, 4:00 pm-2:30 am). The company is a growing $20 million business specializing in high-precision machined parts for various industries including equipment manufacturers, food, drug, aerospace, and defense. Requirements

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and CMM data, including GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and more.
• Solid mechanical aptitude with a problem-solver mindset.
• Excellent communication skills—able to collaborate with programmers, quality inspectors, and fellow machinists.
• A proactive, self-driven work style with the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating 4-5 axis Makino machines is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting technical drawings and blueprints to understand part geometry, features, and tolerances.
• Operating multiple Makino 4 & 5-Axis CNC milling machine centers, many with the help of automation.
• Loading raw materials, securing workpieces, changing tools, and making offsets for efficient and accurate machining.
• Inspecting and measuring finished parts using calipers, micrometers, CMM, and other precision tools.
• Reviewing and understanding CMM reports to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Completing inspection and production reports to ensure documentation and workflow accuracy.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
