CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

About The Position

This position is scheduled on 2nd shift and includes a 15% shift differential on top the base rate. The CNC Machinist will operate and set-up machines within the department, inspect parts, and document inspection results. They will continuously monitor equipment and tooling, and notify the department manager in case of breakdowns or disruptions. The role involves following setup sheets, drawings, and programs, assisting with training new team members, and maintaining a clean work area and equipment. Adherence to company safety requirements and Seabrook Quality System procedures is essential.

Requirements

• Proficient with one or more of the following CNC machines: EDM RAM, EDM Wire, Lathe, Mill, Mill-Turn, Swiss.
• Experienced in use of caliper, micrometer, OC and height gage for dimensional inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong mechanical and trouble shooting ability.
• Ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
• Minimum of 3-5 years related experience

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate and set-up machines within the department.
• Inspect parts and document results of inspections on in process inspection plans.
• Continuously monitor equipment and tooling.
• In the event of a breakdown or other event that would disrupt the process, notify department manager to resolve the problem.
• Follow the instructions on the setup sheet, drawings and/or programs.
• Assist with training of new team members and operators.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Adhere to company safety requirements.
• Assure that assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.
