About The Position

I&M Machine and Fabrication Corp. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC equipment, including horizontal and vertical mills, boring mills, and lathes. The role involves machining parts to required dimensions and tolerances, interpreting technical drawings, inspecting work, making machine and tooling adjustments, maintaining equipment and a clean work area, and troubleshooting machining issues. The machinist works with minimal supervision while contributing to team production goals and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous CNC machining experience.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes and practices.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• CNC programming knowledge.
• Experience with horizontal and/or vertical mills.
• Experience operating lathes and boring equipment.
• Understanding of machining tolerances and precision measurement.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines, tooling, fixtures, and parts for production.
• Program and operate CNC equipment according to part specifications.
• Operate horizontal and vertical mills, boring mills, and lathes.
• Machine parts to required dimensions and tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Inspect work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Make necessary machine and tooling adjustments.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
• Troubleshoot machining issues as needed.
• Work with minimal supervision while contributing to team production goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
