About The Position

Advanced Blending Solutions LLC of Wallace, MI is looking to hire a full-time CNC Machinist to join our production team. This is a 1st shift job that will allow you to have weekends free. The company is a privately-owned full-service designer and manufacturer of blending and convey equipment for the plastics industry. They have state-of-the-art fabrication, machining, and panel-building facilities in Wallace. Requirements

  • Knowledge of measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures
  • Experience with CNC Machine set-up and tear down
  • Organized, accurate, and detail oriented
  • Efficient time management
  • Effective verbal communication
  • Complete training to become forklift certified within 30 days
  • Lift up to 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to read engineering drawings/blueprints
  • High school diploma or equivalent PLUS 2 years CNC machining experience and/or Associate's Degree in related field

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate numerically controlled CNC machining equipment to perform operations that meet finish requirements.
  • Select tooling and set up vises and fixtures to run parts.
  • Perform set-up and tear-down for shorter production runs.
  • Check stock to ensure sufficient inventory to complete the job.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to ensure all parts are present, interpret measurements, and verify specifications.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on the machines.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform basic repairs.
  • Monitor equipment and materials to ensure safe operation while following safety procedures.
